Short but good. More of a visual novel. The "gameplay" grew to be a chore. Most of the time, you read books by tapping approaching thought bubbles, but there's no clicker system like the first game. I ended up just wanting to get through with it to get to the parts I actually like. The picture books were nice. The dream art, and writing were captivating. I felt Es's loneliness and boredom. I liked Es already and I grew to love her more. If you liked Alter Ego, Alter Ego Complex is worth playing!

This game was amazing and beautiful. I love ES so much and the initial meaning behind the storyline was so well done. I'd definitely recommend this game to many. Thank you for making this 💗

It feels like this game is building up character backstory to Es, which means in-universe the Facade, the room Es is trapped in, and everything is real, it's not just a metaphor. Considering that, it's really annoying that this game just spins it's wheels showing different what ifs for stories Es could be slotted into. Like "wouldn't it be cool if we made a sequel where Es got out of the room, and you could have fun adventures together?" And, yeah that would be cool... So why not just make that?
